Education furniture for Lansdowne Children’s Home

We have recently completed a £30,000 project to manufacture and install fitted education furniture for Lansdowne Children’s Home in Hailsham, after being selected by Beard Construction.

The project included manufacturing furniture for various areas of the home, including offices, kitchen, stores and dispensary.

The majority of the furniture was made with 25mm thick carcase and doors, as well as some standard 18mm thick furniture. Due to the environment, the storage units were fitted with anti-ligature handles.

About Lansdowne Secure Children’s Home

Lansdowne Secure Children’s Home accommodates up to seven young people of either gender aged 13-17 years, and below the age of 13 with Secretary of State’s approval, in a physically secure environment. The client group comprises of young people who have displayed serious and extreme behaviours which have resulted in them needing to be placed in a secure children’s home for their own protection or protection of others in the community.
