Peninsula Dental College

The products we supplied included HTM 63 suspended units with HTM 63 bullnose fully moulded worktops. Half of the worktops specified were from our existing Healthline range, and the other half were bespoke stainless steel designed by the architect for the dental college. A variety of colour schemes were selected for the installation including white doors with grey worktops, grey doors with speckled beige worktops and grey doors with yellow worktops.

HTM 63

The HTM 63 range of fitted medical furniture was originally specified by the Department of Health and therefore offers suspended storage units specifically suited to the requirements of all types of healthcare establishments including hospitals, care homes, doctors’ surgeries and medical colleges.

Access for installation

As the new block was built on the Treliske Hospital campus and adjoined the Knowledge Spa Medical School it was not part of the main building. This made it easy for the installation team to access the building without too much disruption.

Opened in 2010

HRH Highness of Gloucester officially opened the Peninsula Dental College in Truro in March 2010. The college includes 32 dental chairs for training, office space and four single surgeries.

We have previously supplied medical furniture for the Peninsula Dental College in Plymouth, Devonport at a value of over £35,000.

Education furniture installations

Our specialist education furniture is installed in many schools, colleges and further education facilities. We have recently been selected by main contractor E W Beard to manufacture furniture for Headington Girls School in Oxford, in a £65,000 contract. This will be for 45 units and 100 metres of worktop in 11 classrooms. The work will start in November 2020. Other education customers include:

Architects and Contractors rely on us because they know we are well established and professional and our durable furniture is manufactured in Britain with craftsmanship and professionalism. We also install our own furniture into a facility, so there is no need to ensure a contractor has installation instructions.

School rebuilding programme

Update July 2020: We welcome the recent pledge by the prime minister, Boris Johnson, to provide a £1bn schools rebuilding programme over a 10-year investment plan for upgrades and refurbishments. This is the first major schools rebuilding programme since 2014 and will make sure our schools and colleges are fit for the future. It is part of the prime minister’s plan to provide a world-class education for children and to help the economy bounce back from this year’s coronavirus crisis.
